Fortnite eDPI calculator

Type your mouse DPI and your Fortnite sensitivity. Your eDPI, and whether it is low, medium or high for Fortnite, update as you type.

56 eDPI

800 DPI × 7% = 56 eDPI

Medium for Fortnite. A middle amount of mouse movement per turn, between the long sweeps of a low setting and the small flicks of a high one.

No download, no account: it runs in your browser, Chromebooks included.

Same eDPI at a new DPI

At 1,600 DPI, set Fortnite to 3.5% to keep 56 eDPI.

Rounded to 1 decimal place. With the same eDPI in the same game, each inch of mouse movement turns the view the same amount.

eDPI bands for Fortnite
BandeDPIWhat it means
Lowbelow 40Each turn takes a long mouse movement: fine aim is steadier, spinning around is slower.
Medium40 to 80A middle amount of mouse movement per turn, between the long sweeps of a low setting and the small flicks of a high one.
High80 and aboveSmall movements turn the view a long way: quick turns from the wrist, but small corrections are harder to keep steady.

These bands are our own guide to Fortnite's sensitivity scale, not an official rating and not a target. The right setting is the one you aim well with.

Where to find your Fortnite sensitivity

In Fortnite, open Settings and the Mouse & Keyboard tab. The number to enter is X-Axis Sensitivity, shown as a percentage.

Targeting, scope, build and edit sensitivity apply only in those moments, so they are not part of eDPI. If your two axes differ, enter the X axis: it sets how fast you turn left and right.

An eDPI in one game cannot be compared with an eDPI in another: each game turns the view by its own angle for every mouse count. The eDPI calculator converts turn distance only where the developer publishes that angle.
