Controller click speed test: how fast can you press?
Press one controller button as fast as you can. Choose the button by pressing it: the timer starts with that first press, and a held button counts once.
No download, no account: it runs in your browser, Chromebooks included.
Works with controllers your browser recognises over USB or Bluetooth. Your best for each time stays in this browser.
Your run
Up to 16 letters or numbers. It travels only inside the link, and nothing is stored by us.
How presses are counted
The browser reads the controller once per screen frame: 60 times a second on a 60 Hz screen, more on a faster one. A press counts when the button changes from released to pressed, so holding it down counts once and a button that bounces between frames cannot add presses. Two presses inside one frame would count as one, but that is far faster than anyone can press.
The result shows how many reads the browser made each second, so you can see the sampling your run had.
Getting a fair result
Use the same button and the same time for runs you compare: a 5-second sprint usually scores higher than 30 seconds. Triggers count as soon as the browser reports them pressed, which can be part-way down. If presses go missing, check the controller on the gamepad test first.
For mouse clicks, try the CPS test; for the keyboard, the spacebar counter.
